Even from home, there are things we all can be doing to support our COVID-19 Heroes.
Stay Home
First and foremost: stay home to stay safe. The best way to thank healthcare heroes is to stay home and prevent further infections.
You should also wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer; avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands; cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing; avoid contact with people who are sick; and call your doctor if you are sick.
Check In
A simple phone call, email or text can go a long way in saying thank you to the healthcare workers in your life.
Are your friends and family members on social media? Frame your Facebook profile photo, share our e-card for thanking them, or tag stories about your hero on social media with #MiCareMatters.
Spell It Out
Grab anything you can write on or with! Write your thank you somewhere visible to the healthcare heroes in your neighborhood: sidewalks, windows, garage doors, yards, and more. Create your own or download our signs below to print and hang!
Make It Blue
Known as the universal color of health, use light bulbs, ribbon, kids’ artwork, sidewalk chalk and more – all in the color blue – to show your support for healthcare heroes and first responders.
Share your blue power to social media with a photo (include the hashtag #MiCareMatters) to encourage others to demonstrate their support and appreciate for our #COVID19Heroes.
Donate
Our healthcare heroes are saving lives with limited resources. The best thing we can do to help them, is to give them the tools to do their jobs. Right now, our healthcare heroes are in need of personal protection equipment.
